FERI: Family Office expansion - Britta Süßmann takes over management function

Bad Homburg, 4/3/2025
by FERI

As part of the strategic expansion of its offering for wealthy private clients and entrepreneurial families, the multi-asset investment company FERI AG is optimizing its team structures: Britta Süßmann, an expert in legal and tax issues, has taken over the management of the Family Office. Süßmann, who reports to divisional director Michael Jänsch, is to drive forward the strategic development of the Family Office in her new position as head of department.

“With her many years of expertise and commitment, Britta Süßmann will make a significant contribution to the success of our Family Office. We are convinced that she will decisively advance the client-specific advisory and service offering including customized asset structures with fresh impulses”, explains Michael Jänsch, Divisional Director Private Clients / Family Office at FERI AG.

“Together with our extremely committed and experienced team, I would like to accompany the first Multi Family Office in Germany on its way into the future. The aim is for us to be seen even more strongly across generations as a reliable and innovative partner in implementing the individual goals and wishes of our clients. In an increasingly complex legal and tax environment, independent and first-class support must be our top priority,” explains Britta Süßmann, Head of Family Office at FERI AG.

The 43-year-old worked for almost four years as Director alongside the previous Head Oliver Matyschik, whose position she took over after his departure at the beginning of the year. Before joining FERI, she worked as a lawyer and tax consultant at the international commercial law firm Hengeler Mueller. The Family Office of the FERI Group supports FERI's private client advisory services in close cooperation.

Strengthening the private client business, innovative multi-asset management

Just last year, FERI CEO Marcel Renné announced plans to strengthen the private client business with a focus on entrepreneurial families and large estates at a local and structural level. As part of the strategic growth initiative oneFERI, the Bad Homburg-based company initially brought a team of six specialists led by Michael Jänsch on board in October 2024 and simultaneously opened an office in Hanover, Lower Saxony, to expand the Group's advisory services, particularly for business families in northern Germany.

With its multi-asset approach, FERI makes targeted use of the potential of nine different asset classes: Traditional investments (bonds, equities, liquidity & currencies) are combined according to a modular system with established alternative investments (commodities & precious metals, hedge funds, real estate, private markets) and innovative alternative investments (volatility, digital assets) in order to make the most of diversification effects and promote transparency. Sustainability is incorporated into the FERI investment strategy as an overarching theme.
