The Bad Homburg-based multi-asset investment house FERI has been named the best independent asset manager in the field of sustainability by the business magazine Capital and the Institut für Vermögensaufbau (IVA). According to the latest survey, FERI was the only provider in this category to receive the maximum rating of five stars.
This is the third time that Capital magazine has joined forces with the IVA to honor the most sustainable banks and asset managers. The experts examined the offerings in the area of ESG and sustainability on the basis of three evaluation categories: Portfolio, ESG in the investment process (product transparency) and finally ESG in the company itself - i.e. the consideration of environmental (Ecological), social and good corporate management (Governance) not only in the investments but also in the actions of the own company.
Years ago, FERI implemented a sustainability approach in its investment solutions and consulting services that combines ESG criteria with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). "We are very pleased to have convinced the jury with this approach," says Dr. Heinz-Werner Rapp, who is the board member responsible for sustainability at FERI.
As a central competence center, the FERI SDG Office, which was founded in 2019, manages the individual consulting of sustainable investment solutions as well as the strategic investments in a future-oriented and responsible investment strategy. "The need for advice and the demand from investors for corresponding funds and investment opportunities are continuously increasing, not least in the area of alternative assets and private markets," emphasizes Antje Biber, who represents the sustainability strategy of the FERI Group as Head of SDG Office.
For FERI, the topic of sustainability also includes a clear commitment to social co-responsibility as a company. "In our commitment to society and the environment, we focus on selected sustainability goals such as climate protection, equality and education. This is where we see our greatest opportunities for influence," says Antje Biber.
